My Happy Place

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Mackinaw, and after this trip, I know that my kids do too!!!!  I can't think of a better way to end the Summer than a stay in Mackinaw at the family cabin.  It brings back such childhood memories.  Unfortunately, due to his work schedule, Leigh was unable to come with us, so of course he was missed.  But, we did spend the week with Nana and Bumpa and had a WONDERFUL time.

Berrien County Youth Fair 2011

It was a long week of recovery, but we promised the kids that if they took their medicine and were feeling better by Saturday that we would take them to the fair.  Finally, by Friday night they were both back to regular activity so Sat morning came and we headed to the fair..trying to beat the rain.  We were only there long enough to walk through some animal buildings, eat a corn dog and play on the tractors before the rain started.  So we ducked in the commercial buildings in an attempt to wait it out, but it wasn't letting up.  So, it was a short trip, but none the less, I got some cute pictures!!
