Christmas traditions...

It all begins with Christmas Eve service at the Methodist church with Bumpa's family

Then Santa arrives in the morning and Nana and Bumpa come over to watch the fun

Then it is over to the Backus' house for Christmas Breakfast

Then it is home to play with the new gifts and to take naps

Then it is Christmas Dinner at our house and then Christmas with the Smith's

The next day we get to have Christmas with the Franklins

And last, but not least we wrap up the holiday season with a get-together at the Tobolskis

Christmas Cookies at Nana's

This year, Nana decided to tackle making Christmas cookies with all 3 kids.  I only stayed for the beginning.  When I returned an hour later, the kids were all playing and Nana was stuck decorating the cookies...maybe better luck next year. 

Breakfast with Santa at Fernwood

What a wonderful morning.  We had a buffet breakfast at Fernwood, followed by craft making and of course the visit with Santa.  Megan headed right up and told Santa that she wanted a Barbie.  Jenna hesitated at first until she saw the candy canes by his side, she wanted a Kitty...poor Jake never made it up, but made sure to shout from a distance that he wanted a Motorcycle.  After the brunch, we walked around outside to see the ice carving.  It was a beautiful morning.

Pinecrest Tree Farm

It was a wonderful day to visit the Tree Farm.  The weather was cool, but the sun was shining.  We had a great time and the kids had a tough decision between taking the horse wagon or the tractor one.  So, we took the horses out and the tractor back.  What a great family tradition.

Halloween

Everyone has said that I will pay for Jake's costume later in life...  But, they LOVE Mickey Mouse and Friends right now. 

The day started with the Halloween Parade downtown Buchanan, followed by Trek or Treat on the McCoy Creek Trail and finally Trick-or-Treating around our neighborhood with Friends.
